On 28 August 2019, the Co-curricular club of the Management Association organized an event called - "Sell It If You Can." The event was held in the university’s seminar hall on the first floor of block A.
The basic idea of the event was to make the students think creatively about advertisements and how would they sell a given product. The most intriguing part of the event was that the products that the participants had to sell were those that had lost their utility value.
The grand event started by a welcoming of the judges- Prof. Sanjeeb Bhattacharjee, Prof. Amritkant Mishra and Prof. Jerush John Joseph.
It was a truly mesmerizing show as eleven teams from five different departments of the university took part in this event. After welcoming the judges, the hosts of the event, Aryan & Shruti, announced the rules of the competition. The participants did their best to convince the audience to buy products like broken sunglasses, torn shirts, single old socks, single shoe etc. Wit, humour, creativity, time taken and confidence were the parameters on which the participants were judged.
The First Prize was bagged by the team from BSc. Psychology, the second position was awarded to the students of BA LLB and the third position was awarded to the students of BBA Honours section B.
Students learnt in a fun environment and dispersed with the sincere hope that such mega events in the future would help them hone their selling and marketing skills.
