Gateways 2018, the national level intercollegiate IT fest was organized by the department of computer Science on the 6th and 7th of September 2018. The two-day extravaganza provides a platform for the postgraduate students to showcase their talents in various fields. The event was inaugurated by Mr. ViswanandhAkella, CEO, SimplifyFI and the Presidential Address was delivered by Dr. Anil Pinto, Registrar, Christ (Deemed to be University).

Both technical and non-technical events were organized so that maximum students could participate. Technical events included app prototyping, coding and debugging, while non-technical events were IT manager, ad-making and Photography.

This year’s gateways also conducted the grand Hackathon sponsored by Hackerearth an Mozilla as well as Event X, or the surprise event! Gateways-2018 saw the participation of around 20 colleges with over 200 participants from all over India.

Day one of gateways begun by inauguration of the ceremony at the Campus View, Central Block followed by starting of all the events. Final round of all the events were successfully conducted on day two of the fest.

The valedictory function was held in Campus View at 4 pm to appreciate the participation and cooperation of the students where the Chief guest address was delivered by Prof. Benny Sebastian, Dept. of Electronic, Christ (Deemed to be University).  The winners of Hackathon walked away with goodies sponsored by Mozilla. The overall trophy was won by R.V College of Engineering, Bengaluru.
