Interface, an inter-department IT fest, was organised by the department of computer science on 24 and 25 of August 2016. The programme was organized by our students for Computer Science students from different colleges across India. This year, 20 colleges from all over the nation took part with over 272 participants attending the event. Interface 2016 was sponsored by InnovateSearch and Dice ‘n’ Dine. The theme for this year was Robotics.

There were a total of 17 events hosted under Interface. Both technical and non-technical events were organized in order to maximise the level of participation. Technical events included Coding and debugging, Websitedesign, EthicalHacking and many more while non-technical events were Debate, Treasure Hunt, Photographyand other interesting events. All these events were conducted in various venues across ChristUniveristy like the Main Audi, Campus View, the Computer labs and a few classrooms inside Block 2 and Block 3, with our sponsor InnovateSearch occupying the stall in front of Central Block. On-the-Spot Registrations for Interfacebegan at 9 AM at the Block 2 reception on August 24th. Around 10.30 AM, registrations were closed and the participants were sent to their respective events. Lunch was served inside Gourmet extension on Day 1 from 12 PM –I PM for both participants and volunteers. Day 1 drew to a close at 4 PM, after the Cultural Programmes conducted by our very own students for the participants in the Campus View.

 On Day 2, the events were held from 10 AM onwards and continued  till Lunch break at 12. The valedictory function was held soon after the completion of  all the events, our Chief Guest for the evening was Mr.Bishwanath Bhattacharya, founder and CEO of Venerate Solutions. Certificates and trophies were given to the winners for their excellent performance in the events, with Kristu Jayanti College coming out at the top as the Overall Winner followed by SreeDamodar College as the Runner Up. Interface 2016 was a success primarily due to the dedication and hard work of the students along with the support and guidance of our teachers. It was a fantastic learning experience for all of us.
