Book Talk programme on the book "Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine"

Library and Information Centre, in collaboration with the Department of Languages, School of Humanities and Social Sciences conducted the fifth Book Talk programme on the book “Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine” by Gail Honeyman on 28 January 2021 from 11.30 am to 12.30 pm on Cisco WebEx platform.

The programme began with the welcome note by Mr. George Jerish C.J, the librarian of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Delhi NCR. Ms Prabha Zacharias (Assistant Professor, Department of Languages) introduced the fictional work “Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine” by Gail Honeyman and explored the key themes of unprocessed trauma and loneliness dealt with in the book without giving away the storyline.

It was an interactive session where students asked various questions about the book and they shared their observations on the content of the book. The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Ms. Amrita (Student, Department of Languages).
