An exuberant performance called ‘Retro to Metro’ was the first major event organised by the Cultural Club under the aegis of the Management Association on 27 September, 2019. Students from all five classes of the Department of Management Studies came together to host an event that turned out to be quite a crowd-pulling and enjoyable experience depicting the Bollywood era from 1960s to the present times.
The program kick-started with a bang, with dance performances to the songs of the 1960s to 1980s, which reminded the students of their parents favourite songs and managed to bring a smile on the face of the faculty. Group performances and a solo performance to the classical old songs of Bollywood raised further the bar of this event.
Then students grooved to the performances from the era of the 1980s to the present-day. Students put up an exciting show that included dancing, singing and even beatboxing. This event clearly captured the change in life and culture through the 50-60 years’ period. The presence of students and faculty from all the departments in the campus added the right colour to this event.
India is a country known for its diversity and the same is reflected in life at Christ (Deemed to be university) Delhi NCR. At the end of the engaging program the open stage was initiated when students of all programmes irrespective of their caste, creed, religion and language came together and danced as ONE BIG HAPPY FAMILY.
