  • The Department of English and Cultural Studies organized an Expert talk to sensitize students on constitutional obligations titled “Freedom of Speech and Expression: Values and Practices”, held on 19th April 2024 by Dr. Georgekutty M.V., Assistant Professor, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Delhi NCR Campus.
  • The Department of English and Cultural Studies organised a session for MA Students on UGC NET: PAPER 2 - ENGLISH led by Dr. Mandavi Choudhary, Assistant Professor, Satyawati College, University of Delhi on 18th April 2024.
  • Department of English and Cultural Studies organised the II UG-PG National Conference on 16 April 2024. Presenters from various Universities participated and presented their papers in the technical sessions organised by the department.
  • Department of English and Cultural Studies organised a hands-on workshop on “Data Scraping, Verification and Analysis” with Google News Initiative as a part of the 2nd UG-PG National Conference 2024 on 16th April 2024. Prof. Umesh Arya, Professor, Department of Mass Communication, Guru Jambeshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar, Haryana led the workshop. 
  • Department of English and Cultural Studies organised a session on “Exploring the Intersection of Artificial Intelligence Tools for Textual Analysis” on 13th April 2024 led by Dr. Vandana Sharma, Associate Professor, School of Sciences, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Delhi NCR Campus.
  • The Department of English and Cultural Studies organised a training session for MA English students on UGC NET-PAPER 1 – Teaching and Research Aptitude – on 12th April 2024. The session was led by Mr. Siddharth Dubey, Assistant Professor, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Delhi NCR Campus.
  • Department of English and Cultural Studies organised Serendipity, a workshop on well-being in collaboration with the Centre for Counselling and Health Services on 10 April 2024. It was a special session dedicated to unwinding from daily stress and reconnecting with yourself.
  • Department of English and Cultural Studies organised a guest talk on “Digital Haiku: An Introduction” held on 8th April 2024 by Ms. Rachayita Bhattacharyya, Haiku Scholar, School of Liberal Arts, IIT Jodhpur.
  • The Department of English and Cultural Studies organised a workshop, Writing Culture and Identity on 4 April 2024. Tibetan writer and activist Tenzin Tsundue led the workshop.
  • Department of English and Cultural Studies organised a talk on, Unveiling the Narrative: Exploring the Gaps in India Publishing led by Trisha De Niyogi, CCO & Director, Niyogi Books on 2 April 2024.
  • Department of English and Cultural Studies organised a Media Literacy Workshop on Fundamentals of Media and Information Literacy and Visual Verification in collaboration with Fact Shala and Google News Initiative India Training Network on 14-15 March 2024.
  • Department of English and Cultural Studies organised a guest lecture on Cultivating Reliable Sources for Powerful Reporting by Mr. Himanshu Shekhar Mishra, senior editor NDTV on 24 February 2024.
  • The Department of English and Cultural Studies organised the International Conference on Literature, Digital Popular Culture and the Evolving Narrative on 8-9 February 2024. Multiple speakers from all over the globe were invited to speak and interact with the participants.
  • The Department of Languages organised a talk on “Fundamentals of Digital Archiving” on 7th February 2024 by Ms. Ishita Shah, designer, historian and founder of ‘Curating for Culture’.
  •  The Department of English and Cultural Studies organised a guest lecture on “Writing for Kids: Not Child’s Play!” on 2nd February 2024. The lecture was delivered by Ms. Ashwitha Jayakumar, Writer and Editorial Consultant.
  • The Department of English and Cultural Studies organised a guest lecture on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) titled “Empowering Language and Literature Educators: Unveiling the Positive Impacts of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)” led by Mrs. Kuhu Tiwari, Assistant Professor, School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Delhi NCR on 24th January 2024.
  • Department of English and Cultural Studies organised a panel discussion on The Evolution and Impact of Progressive Literature in Shaping Modern Indian Society in Collaboration with Niyogi Books as part of Christ University Literature Fest 2024. Discussion was led by Nirmal Kanti Bhattacharjee (writer, translator & editor) and Haris Qadeer (writer, translator & writer). Discussion was moderated by Dr. Pompi, assistant professor, English and Cultural Studies, Christ University NCR.
  • The Department of English and Cultural Studies organised the 2nd Christ University Literature Festival on 18-19 January 2024, where students participated in the love of literature.
  • The Department of English and Cultural Studies organised an event on 19 December, 2023 where Keynote Speaker, Jayanth Jacob, senior journalist and co-founder at Pixstroy App talked about, What’s New In New Media? Changing Role of Media and Media Professionals.
  • The Department of English and Cultural Studies organised a workshop on PR Tools dated 4 November 2023. Resource person, Ms Pushpa Nair, a public relations expert gave Insights on Corporate Communication for Government Organisation: Tools & Techniques.
  • The Department of English and Cultural Studies organised a lecture on Academics and Beyond: Essential Preparations for Media Skill Enhancements by Sachin Gogoi, editorial lead, BBC News dated 4 October 2023.
  • The Department of English and Cultural Studies organised a guest lecture on World News Day by Prof. Shivaji Sarar, Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi on 29th September 2023.
  • The Department of English and Cultural Studies organised a guest lecture on Big Idea, Creative Strategy and Production in Advertising by the resource person, Mr. Devendra Mehta, executive creative director, Innocean Worldwide Pvt. Ltd. (Hyundai Motor Group) dated 23 September 2023.
  • Department of English and Cultural Studies organised a guest lecture on International Translation Day 2023 by Prof. GIV Prasad Professor (Retired), Centre for English Studies, Jawahar Lal Nehru University, New Delhi, dated 21st September 2023.
  • The Department of English and Cultural Studies organised a Writers Workshop on Publishing and Screenwriting, in exclusive collaboration with G20 PM Yuva authors, Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, Ministry of Education. Mr. Souhardya De (author, translator, legislative researcher, and geopolitical analyst), Ms. Aashisha Chakraborty (YUVA author) and Ms. Prapti Sharma (PM YUVA author, mythology enthusiast) on 23rd August 2023.
