Q1. What is the duration of the program?

Answer: It is a three-year graduate-level program.

 

Q2. How is this program different from other Commerce programs?

Answer: The program structure of B.Com (Accountancy and Auditing) is closely modeled along the lines of the Chartered Accountancy program wherein the syllabus of C.A Foundation and Intermediate level are covered.

It offers a twin advantage to a student whereby he/she prepares for qualifying the CA Examinations while pursuing the Graduate program.

 

Q3. Is B.Com (Accountancy & Auditing), an Honours program?

Answer: No. it is not an Honours Program. As per the New Education Policy, the duration of the Honours program is 4 years whereas the duration of this program is 3 years only.

 

Q4. To pursue the B.Com (Accountancy & Auditing) program, is it necessary for a student to enroll in the CA Program?

Answer: Yes, enrollment in the CA Program is compulsory for a student seeking admission to this program.

 

Q5. If a student does not clear CA exams, will it affect his/her Graduation? 

Answer: It should be noted that CA exams and Graduation exams are independent so the inability to qualify for CA Exams will not have any effect on graduation.

Answer: The students will be provided with full-fledged academic support in terms of classes, study material, and expert lectures covering the whole gamut of CA Foundation and Intermediate subjects. To process admission

  • Candidates must choose the preferred date and time from available options to facilitate a smooth admission process.
  • Admission must be processed at the campus where the programme is offered as published in the offer of admission.
  • As per UGC guidelines, fee payment has to be made through online mode.
  • Payment options and details will be available in the Offer of admission.
  • Fees for the first year including Admission Registration fee must be paid in full as part of the admission process.

All original marks cards and one set of photocopies must be submitted for verification at the time of admission as mentioned below

  • Class 10 Marks Statement and Class 11/12 Marks Statement (Mandatory).
  • Transfer Certificate (TC) of Class 12 from the last qualified institution must be submitted by 15 July 2024 (Mandatory).
  • Migration Certificate of Class 12 (applicable for all candidates except Karnataka state board applicants) must be submitted by 15 July 2024 (Mandatory).
  • One Stamp size and one passport size photograph formal dress with a white background (Mandatory).
  • Two Copies of the Online Payment Receipt (Mandatory).
  • Copy of valid ID proof (Aadhar Card / Aadhar Enrolment Receipt / PAN Card / Voter ID Card).
  • Candidates falling under any of these categories (NRI / PIO / OCI / SAARC / AFRICA / ASEAN / OTHER FOREIGN NATIONALS) have to submit:
  1. Copy of Passport and Visa Details (Mandatory).
  2. PIO / OCI have to produce a copy of the PIO / OCI card whichever is applicable (Mandatory).
  3. Medical Fitness Certificate (MFC) from any recognized medical practitioner certified by the Medical Council of India and
  4. Resident Permit (RP) (If available while applying)

All mandatory documents must be submitted for verification during the admission process.

An undertaking for pending original documents unavailable currently [applicable only for candidates writing/passing their exam in March – June - 2024], must be submitted to the Office of Admissions. These documents must be submitted on or before 15 July 2024.

  • Failure to submit the pending documents will be treated as unsuccessful in the qualifying examination or considered “Not Eligible”, and admission will be terminated from CHRIST (Deemed to be University) without any claim.
  • All admitted students must open an account at South Indian Bank, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) Branch as part of the admission process and must carry relevant ID proof (Aadhar Card and Pan Card).
  • The University ID card is a smart card, which is both an ID cum ATM card with a chip containing the student personal details. All transactions within the University campus after the commencement of classes, including fee payment, will be processed only through this card. It is also an access card for Library and other restricted places.
  • Selected candidates who fall under International student category (ISC) should register with the Foreigner Regional Registration Officer (FRRO / FRO) of the Local Police in Ghaziabad, India within 14 working days from the date of admission or arriving in Ghaziabad.

The date of commencement of the Academic Year 2024 will be intimated during the admission process.

Applications for each programme will close approximately a week before the scheduled selection process.

All applicants must visit the page: https://espro.christuniversity.in/Application/ and register by entering NAME (as printed on Class 10 Marks Card), EMAIL-ID and set a password (the email id and mobile number provided will be used for sending confirmation and application status-update messages). An applicant can apply for as many programmes using the same ID as long as the prescribed eligibility criteria for the specific programme is fulfilled.

Applicants must have the following documents before filling the application online:

  • Copy of statement of marks of Class 10, Class 11/ 12 (Mandatory).
  • Fill in all the details in the “detailed application” page. Scan and upload a recent passport-size photograph (3.5 cms x 4.5 cms formal dress with white background) and click “Submit”. On clicking Submit, a viewable and editable page will appear on the screen. In case you need to make any corrections; you may edit the data/details and then click “Confirm Submission”.
  • Make payment using a card and after successful payment, click on submit.  A 9 (nine) digit application number will be generated. If unable to print the application form due to system/power/internet failure, logon to https://espro.christuniversity.in/Application/ under the “Application Status” page enter the registered Email-ID and password to view and print the application form (after the payment if you do not receive the 9 (nine) digit application number, then your application process is incomplete, and the payment will go in for refund process. The refund will take about 15 days and must be checked with your bank).

Candidates falling under any of these categories (PIO / OCI / SAARC / AFRICA / ASEAN / OTHER FOREIGN NATIONALS) must send the required supporting documents (copy of passport, copy of PIO / OCI card whichever is applicable and copy of class 10 & class 11/12 marks card) in an A4 size envelope ONLY through registered post/courier to “The Co-ordinator, Office of International Affairs, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Hosur Road, Bengaluru - 560 029, Karnataka, India, Phone: +91 80 4012 9439”.

  • All other candidates will have to carry the application printout, original documents and a set of photocopies to the selection process on the allotted date, time and venue mentioned on the selection process admit card.
  • All applicants must make a note of the username and password, the application number, programme applied for, selection process date and city for all further purposes.
  • All travel arrangements, if necessary, have to be made in advance.
  • The "Important Dates" section must be referred to before filling the application, or candidates can choose the selection process dates while filling the application online.
  • No request for change of date/city will be entertained.
  • Applicants applying while in their final year of schooling must carry the marks card up to the previous year when they report to the selection process venue. Documents to be carried are application printout along with the original class X, and class XI / XII marks cards and a set of photocopies.

Parent Advisory Committee

School of Commerce, Finance and Accountancy, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Delhi NCR Campus has constituted a Parent Advisory Committee(PAC). The committee consists of parent members who are associated with Industry, Academia, Government Bodies or are self-employed.

The First meeting of the PAC was held on 15 th December 2023. The meeting was presided by Dr.Fr. Jossy George, Campus Dean and Director. The meeting invoked meaningful discussion wherein parents conveyed their viewpoints and perceptions which were aptly taken and addressed.

Q1. What is the duration of the program?

Answer: It is a three-year graduate-level program.

 

Q2. How is this program different from other Commerce programs?

Answer: The program structure of B.Com (Accountancy and Auditing) is closely modeled along the lines of the Chartered Accountancy program wherein the syllabus of C.A Foundation and Intermediate level are covered.

It offers a twin advantage to a student whereby he/she prepares for qualifying the CA Examinations while pursuing the Graduate program.

 

Q3. Is B.Com (Accountancy & Auditing), an Honours program?

Answer: No. it is not an Honours Program. As per the New Education Policy, the duration of the Honours program is 4 years whereas the duration of this program is 3 years only.

 

Q4. To pursue the B.Com (Accountancy & Auditing) program, is it necessary for a student to enroll in the CA Program?

Answer: Yes, enrollment in the CA Program is compulsory for a student seeking admission to this program.

 

Q5. If a student does not clear CA exams, will it affect his/her Graduation? 

Answer: It should be noted that CA exams and Graduation exams are independent so the inability to qualify for CA Exams will not have any effect on graduation.

 

 Q6. How does the university facilitate the students to qualify for CA Examinations?

Answer: The students will be provided with full-fledged academic support in terms of classes, study material, and expert lectures covering the whole gamut of CA Foundation and Intermediate subjects. These classes and expert lectures will be scheduled after lunch hours and till 6 p.m. on weekdays and also on weekends in accordance with students’ needs.

 

Q7. If a student does not qualify in the CA Exams in the First attempt will academic support be provided for subsequent attempts?

Answer: Christ University focuses on student progression, if any student fails to qualify for CA exams, he/she will be given access to live classes or recorded sessions or can attend the next batch of classes.

 

Q8. What is the scope for employment after completing the B.Com (Accounting & Auditing) program?

Answer: The high-value academics and training provided under this course is aimed at enhancing the employment potential of the candidates as it prepares them suitably to be employed as Audit Executive, Audit Associate, Business Analyst, Operations Analyst Associate- Tax, Associate - Indirect Tax, Internal Auditor, in leading Consulting Organizations such as Deloitte, EY, PWC, KPMG, Grant Thornton, etc. For such graduates, abundant employment opportunities exist and are emerging in Banking and Financial Services. Q9. Is the student liable to pay an additional fee for the academic support provided for CA Examinations?

Answer: No, the student is not liable for any additional fee for such a purpose. However, when a student registers for the CA program then he/she is required to pay separately, the Registration Fee, Examination Fee, etc to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

It is to be noted that though the fee is fixed, there may be a periodic nominal increase to meet the rise in costs.

1. NRI fee is applicable for the first year for candidates who have studied a foreign syllabus (has to be approved by UGC / AIU) in the qualifying examination of study in India. 

(The above condition is not applicable to NRI and candidates applied under NRI Category)

2. NRI fee is applicable for the full duration of the program for candidates who;

2.1. Have pursued and completed their last qualifying exam from outside India.

2.2. Are NRI and candidates who have applied under the NRI category.

3. To claim the Indian / Delhi NCR category fee, the candidates should have studied last 7 years in India / Delhi NCR (not applicable for OCI, PIO, and Foreign Nationals).

4. Admission registration fee of INR 5000/- is non-refundable in the event of cancellation of admission. This fee will be apart from cancellation charges if applicable.

5. All candidates if “selected” after appearing for the final selection process, may pay the fee through the following options:

  • Payment can be made through Net banking / NEFT / RTGS
  • Payment / Transfer of fees does not guarantee admission.
