Q1. What is the duration of the program?
Answer: It is a three-year graduate-level program.
Q2. How is this program different from other Commerce programs?
Answer: The program structure of B.Com (Accountancy and Auditing) is closely modeled along the lines of the Chartered Accountancy program wherein the syllabus of C.A Foundation and Intermediate level are covered.
It offers a twin advantage to a student whereby he/she prepares for qualifying the CA Examinations while pursuing the Graduate program.
Q3. Is B.Com (Accountancy & Auditing), an Honours program?
Answer: No. it is not an Honours Program. As per the New Education Policy, the duration of the Honours program is 4 years whereas the duration of this program is 3 years only.
Q4. To pursue the B.Com (Accountancy & Auditing) program, is it necessary for a student to enroll in the CA Program?
Answer: Yes, enrollment in the CA Program is compulsory for a student seeking admission to this program.
Q5. If a student does not clear CA exams, will it affect his/her Graduation?
Answer: It should be noted that CA exams and Graduation exams are independent so the inability to qualify for CA Exams will not have any effect on graduation.
Q6. How does the university facilitate the students to qualify for CA Examinations?
Answer: The students will be provided with full-fledged academic support in terms of classes, study material, and expert lectures covering the whole gamut of CA Foundation and Intermediate subjects. These classes and expert lectures will be scheduled after lunch hours and till 6 p.m. on weekdays and also on weekends in accordance with students’ needs.
Q7. If a student does not qualify in the CA Exams in the First attempt will academic support be provided for subsequent attempts?
Answer: Christ University focuses on student progression, if any student fails to qualify for CA exams, he/she will be given access to live classes or recorded sessions or can attend the next batch of classes.
Q8. What is the scope for employment after completing the B.Com (Accounting & Auditing) program?
Answer: The high-value academics and training provided under this course is aimed at enhancing the employment potential of the candidates as it prepares them suitably to be employed as Audit Executive, Audit Associate, Business Analyst, Operations Analyst Associate- Tax, Associate - Indirect Tax, Internal Auditor, in leading Consulting Organizations such as Deloitte, EY, PWC, KPMG, Grant Thornton, etc. For such graduates, abundant employment opportunities exist and are emerging in Banking and Financial Services. Besides this, interested students can also pursue an independent career in taxation.
Q9. Is the student liable to pay an additional fee for the academic support provided for CA Examinations?
Answer: No, the student is not liable for any additional fee for such a purpose. However, when a student registers for the CA program then he/she is required to pay separately, the Registration Fee, Examination Fee, etc to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Q10. Does the institution provide placement support to the students of the B.Com (Accountancy & Auditing) program?
Answer: Yes, the institution has a well-structured Placement Office which will provide effective placement support to the students of this program. The university has established an excellent connection with leading corporate houses in the Financial Services and Consulting organizations operating in the Delhi-NCR.
Q11. Is B.Com (Accountancy & Auditing) course structured as per the new scheme of the CA program?
Answer: Yes, the course has been structured as per the new scheme as it is expected that The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India will soon notify the new scheme. However, as a matter of caution, provision has also been made to cover the papers of the old scheme.
Q12. Are the students of the B.Com (Accountancy & Auditing) course entitled to get an exemption from any subjects of the CA Program?
Answer: No such exemption is available to students.
