Judges Conversation Series Committee

The Judges’ Conversation Series Committee (JCS) provides aspiring lawyers with opportunities to interact with proficient judicial officers of the Indian Judiciary. It instills learning from the experiences of prominent judicial officers so as to nurture students with fine skills to discharge various legal tasks. It works towards ingraining insights into the adjudication process in students.The distinguished judges of  Indian Judiciary are invited as guest speakers on every second Saturday of the month.


Moot Court Society (MCS)

Moot Court Society (MCS) facilitates, regulates and fosters the mooting and allied activities of the School of Law to inculcate the skills of lawyering such as advocacy, drafting, problem solving etc. It regularly conducts intra-mooting competitions, National Moot Court Competition.


Debating and Literary Society

The committee empowers the students with skills of expressing their beliefs clearly and concisely, public speaking, and effective communication and enables them to assert their legal knowledge and to foster a debating culture. Debating society organizes various debating competitions on evolving areas of Law


Legal Aid and Awareness Committee 

The Legal Aid and Awareness Committee conducts legal awareness programs by adopting villages. Legal awareness programs are conducted to promote consciousness of legal culture and participation in the formation of laws and the rule of law. Taking the spirit from Article 39-A of Indian Constitution Legal Aid and awareness committee serves the twofold purpose, they provide free legal aid services to economically weaker people by enabling student fraternity of their pivotal role in contributing to the society.


Cultural Committee

The Cultural Committee undertakes the responsibility of conducting intra and inter-collegiate cultural events on music, dance, art, and theater for the students. This committee is instrumental in supporting students and providing a platform for them to showcase their creativity and hone their talents.


Sports Committee

The Sports Committee is dedicated to fostering a vibrant sports culture within the student fraternity, promoting health, fitness, teamwork, and camaraderie among members. It organizes various competitions for sports enthusiasts such as Football Tournament, Badminton, and Basketball.


Constitutional Law Studies, Human Rights Committee and Gender Justice Committee

To familiarize with the concerns related to Human Rights violation and its outcomes and to sensitize on the notion of equality and right to access of justice. The Human Rights and Gender Studies Committee is instrumental in spreading awareness of compelling issues on Gender Justice


International Relations and Foreign Policy Studies Committee

The Committee creates an innovative culture that fosters the development of international law and promotes a better understanding of international law and foreign policies. It also provides practical exposure to students by getting onboard industry experts. The committee endeavors to conduct workshops for students interested in higher studies abroad.


Advanced Criminal Law Studies & Litigation Committee

The Advanced Criminal Law Studies & Litigation Committee conducts extensive research and academic dialogues in areas of Criminal Justice, Criminology and Victimology, laws and policies regarding Criminal Procedure. The committee organizes workshops, panel discussions, seminars, and guest lectures on contemporary issues of criminal justice administration. It provides extensive training and technical assistance to students for Trial Advocacy and Judgment writing competitions.


National Conference and Colloquium Committee (NCC)

The National Conference Committee facilitates the conducting of National and International Conferences to render a platform for researchers to showcase and present their research interests and thus fostering research culture among learners. It also conducts National or International Conference on any evolving theme inviting papers from various scholars.


Corporate Law Committee

The Corporate Law Committee conducts expert lectures in the niche areas of Corporate Law to enhance the knowledge base of students interested in Corporate Law. The Aim of the committee is to provide a platform for encouraging innovation, incubation, entrepreneurship, and corporate leadership skills to the students.


Alternate Dispute Resolution Committee

Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee has been offering value-added courses on ADR and Hands-on Training on Key Aspects of Mediation, Negotiation, and Client Counseling by subject domain experts. This committee facilitates the students' acquisition of special knowledge and training on alternative dispute resolution skills. 


Intellectual Property and Allied Rights Committee

This committee is instrumental in spreading awareness through workshops, Poster Presentations, Quiz competitions in the relevant areas of IPR and work on collaborative research projects.  The committee has a semi-annual student-led Newsletter – Expositor which delves in the niche  areas of research in Intellectual Property Law.


Placements & Internships Committee

The Committee felicitates students with internship opportunities. It actively collaborates with leading law firms to provide internships and placement opportunities to students. To abridge the academia-industry gap, several Skill Enhancement Programs, Mock Interviews are being conducted.

 


Environmental Policy and Research Committee

The Committee acts as a platform for organizing programs as part of UNSDGs and allied workshops. It plays a pivotal role in creating awareness of environmental responsibility and environmental concerns among students. The committee conducts several Environmental awareness campus to educate and empower law students towards building a sustainable Environment.
