Gateways 2017, the national level inter collegiate IT fest was organized by the department of computer Science on the 6th and 7th of September 2017.The two-day extravaganza provides a platform for the postgraduate students to show case their talents in various fields.

The event was inaugurated by Ramesh Babu.Both technical and non-technical events were organized so that maximum students could participate. Technical events included webmaster, coding while non-technical events were IT manager, poster making and JAM.

This year’s gateways also saw the rise of two new events, the grand Hackathon sponsored byHackerearth and Event X, or the surprise event! This year’s gateways saw the participation of around 32 with over 280 participants colleges all over India..
Day 1 of gateways begun by inauguration of the ceremony at the main Audi followed by starting of all the events. The highlight of day 2 was the panel discussion with eminent speakers from the industry on the topic of cryptonics.

The valedictory function was held in main Auditoriumat 4 pm to appreciate the participation and cooperation of the students. The winners of Hackathon walked away with bitcoins worth Rs.30,000.The overall winner was KristuJayanti College.
