Softex 2017 is a forum for young scholars to exhibit their innovative talents and broaden their spectrum of knowledge. It provides a platform to share information of emerging technologies. The focus of the fest is to bring out a healthy competition among the undergraduate students of various institutions considered to be at par with competition in the real world.

The opening ceremony of Softex 2017 was inaugurated at 9:00 AM on the March 2nd, 2017 by Dr. Surendra Kulkarni, Dean of Science, Christ University. He highlighted the significance of innovation, necessity of undertaking academic projects and exhibiting the same to challenge one’s career competency. He visited the various stalls and appreciated the efforts.

The exhibition had a variety of projects that includes Mobile Applications, Gaming, Web Applications, etc. The students from various colleges in and around Bengaluru, neighboring states and Christ University took part in the exhibition and displayed their projects for competition.  

The judges from software industry visited each and every stall, interacted with students to know more about their projects, provided them with suggestions and appreciated their work. Students from other departments also visited the stalls and indulged in conversation with exhibition people to know the idea and implementation of their projects. Finally, cash prizes along with certificates were distributed to the winners for their effective demonstration and participation.

In Softex-2017, the Students and teachers contributed a lot towards the success of this event. It gave a platform to showcase their futuristic projects and also a chance to each participant to enhance their leadership and team spirit.
