About us

The Student Welfare Office of Christ (Deemed to be University) Delhi NCR is an organization established for the students and run by the students. This glorious organization provides a platform for the students to showcase their talents, explore new opportunities, and develop skills necessary to excel in life. All major university cultural events and activities are organized by SWO by involving students.
It focuses on the holistic development of each and every Christite. In harmony with the vision and mission of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Student Welfare Office aims at providing opportunities to students for inclusive growth and transformation. The organization encourages students to step forward and exhibit their talents thus seeking to improve the quality of the student life on campus. Beyond helping students reach their true potential, the organization also aids the students to understand the importance of being socially responsible citizens.

Why SWO ?

The various events organized by the Student Welfare Office provides the students with a platform to recognize their truest potential, augment their skills, work together as a team and take up different leadership roles. The SWO facilitates the holistic growth of the Christite, enabling him to strive, not only in Academics but also the extra-curricular activities.

Objectives

  • To encourage a vast community of diverse cultures in the field of Art,Music,Dance,Literary and Theatre
  • To give an opportunity to transform mere talent into a higher skill set and transforming them into better citizens and representatives of our Alma Mater in society
  • To enhance interpersonal skills and leadership qualities of an individual
  • To uphold the core values and vision of the University through practical representation of each student community

The Christ Music Society ( CMS) is a body of students woven in musical harmony which performs to its full melody. The two flagship events of CMS are MAGNIFICAT and SOUND CURRY. They perform in every University level event which enthrals the audience with their soulful musical performances.

A space where different instruments are learnt, explored, and played. A space that respects and loves all genres. A place where the beats of the tabla syncs perfectly with melodies of guitar, where jazz meets classical. This is a place where you find all about music, a space for all music aficionados to thrive and to belong.

University VOLUNTEER BODY are the people, for the people. They are viewed as the foundation of the university. They help organize and coordinate various University events such as cultural fests, seminars, conferences etc. They are also trained in various aspects that pertain to leadership, problem solving, time management and team building.

The Dance Team - Natyarpana

The Dance Team - Natyarpana

Natyarpana, the University Dance Team, is a cluster of dancing abilities, handpicked from the University. This group enchants the crowd with their marvelous exhibitions at nearly every University occasion constantly. The University Dance Day-Nritta is the festival of Dance, culminating in different dance forms and styles with more than 450 dancers meeting up on one stage to enthrall the audience.

The University cultural team can be termed as the face of the university who represent the University across the nation.The culmination of Darpan leads to the formation of the Cult Team every year. The team includes students from every department, who possess skills and expertise in different spheres from the ranging spectrum of co- curricular activities offered by the campus.

Christ University QUIZ ASSOCIATION is the space for the fact-driven, curious and explorative minds interested in quizzing. Christ University Debate Society also known as the university DEBSOC, is an enthusiastic group of students, who organize and participate in many debates and extempore.
