As Dean of the School of Social Sciences, I am incredibly proud of the diverse and rigorous research and practice-oriented disciplines within our school. Our programs are designed to prepare students for a wide range of roles in practice, research, and administration. With offerings available across all university campuses, we provide greater access and a broader selection of options for prospective students. Our school is dedicated to interdisciplinary learning, engaging students and faculty in a variety of cross-disciplinary experiences and programs. We prioritize dynamic teaching methods and a research-driven curriculum, which are key to our students' success.
Our core values of social responsibility, integrity, and excellence guide our efforts to provide an outstanding educational experience in the social and behavioral sciences.
Additionally, I am proud of the rich and diverse expertise our faculty bring from industry, community, and academia. They possess extensive local and international experience from leading universities and industries. Celebrating my experience at Christ University, Delhi NCR Campus, fills me with immense pride and gratitude. From the moment I arrived on campus, I felt embraced and motivated by the dedicated faculty and ambitious peers. The MSc. Economics and Analytics program offers comprehensive insights into economics while equipping us with essential analytical skills, including proficiency in tools like R, Python, and SQL, to prepare us for the industry. Interactions with industry experts have proven invaluable for gaining insights into the professional landscape and corporate dynamics. The university's dedication to fostering innovation and inclusivity has created an environment where I could explore my passions and push myself to excel. Whether in class or working on projects, each experience at Christ University has significantly influenced my personal and professional growth.
Working as an intern at Manas Foundation’s Noida Centre Padma Manas has been a humbling experience. As part of the Cognitive Wellness Program day care, I assist clients with Alzheimer’s, dementia, autism, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and other mental health challenges. I’m learning to perform Mental Status Exams, take detailed patient histories, and observe and participate in case history sessions. I’ve strengthened my empathy and acquired essential clinical communication observational skills.
At my internship under Dr. Roma, at Sir Gangaram Hospital and her private clinic, I learned to assess child development and behavioural issues, conduct psychological testing, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with healthcare professionals. Through case discussions and interactions with guardians, I gained valuable insights into mental health complexities. This experience deepened my understanding and prepared me for a career in Psychology.
