About

School of Business and Management offers business education through Undergraduate, Graduate, M.Phil, and Doctoral programs under different management streams. The curriculum and Pedagogy integrate rigorous academic theory with real-life challenges and is geared to equip the students to successfully face the challenges of a long career in the world of uncertainty. The faculty composition has a healthy mix of Academicians and Industry Practitioners. Our faculty members’ scholastic excellence is depicted through their publications in renowned peer-reviewed journals. The holistic approach of learning through various programs and quality improvement activities ensure students bloom and succeed in this competitive world. As a Business School, we believe our pedagogy enables, engages, exemplifies, and encourages students to make effective business decisions. The curriculum design provides students with the best opportunities to be well-rounded managers and business leaders. We offer experiential learning for our students through an array of activities like Social Responsibility Projects, Industry Review Projects, Organisation Structure Study, Outbound Training, Book Review Competition, Summer Internships, Current Affairs and Weekly Presentations, Skill Enhancement Programmes and Dissertation. We handhold our students through our mentoring sessions. We offer our students the best of opportunities and a launching pad for careers.

Overview

The School of Business and Management offers MBA in FinTech, Business Analytics, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Marketing, Finance and Human Resource Management. The curriculum is designed in such a way that it provides students with the best of opportunities and a launch pad for successful careers. Every student is treated as a budding manager and he is required to go through a wide spectrum of experiences which include Organization Structure Study, Outbound Training, Book Review Competition, Summer Internship, Weekly Presentation on Current Affairs, and Dissertation. It strives to promote all-round development of students by inculcating a spirit of inquiry, discipline and adventure through various academic and co-curricular activities. We not only train the students to become good professionals but also global citizens.

 The two-year programme is divided into six trimesters, with a summer internship training of 6 to 8 weeks after the third trimester. The students have to choose specialization area, as in the current scenario, businesses operate in a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous environment. There is a need for business leaders to be trained in multiple knowledge domains and multiple skill sets to solve complex business problems at a broader level. The MBA program  aims to:

·         equip the students with a broad professional base

·         make the students more versatile and knowledgeable

·         provide better employment opportunities to the students 

·         enable the students to diversify across careers and provide a cushion during a likely career shift

 The department provides 100% placement assistance and being in the vicinity of the corporate hub of the National Capital offers the best of placement opportunities to the students.

SBM offers Undergraduate, Graduate, and Research programs in Management, with specialization in FinTech, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Business Analytics, Marketing, Finance, and Human Resource. Among business schools in India, we are unique in terms of the scale of operations, diversity of program content, and a pan-Indian student population. Christ's SBM stands out also with its world-class management education quality at a highly competitive fee structure.

Our hallmark is experiential learning through live projects, internships, service-learning, and holistic education through co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Our Master’s program provides experiential learning through cases from Harvard and similar top-notch sources. Christ updates its syllabi every year to match industry requirements at a global level and to remain current in the fast-changing management techniques.  The curriculum includes industry-oriented and research-based assignments, through the methodology of self-learning which aims at turning students into lifelong learners.  

External inputs from top corporate management professionals form an integral part of Christ’s pedagogy designed to prepare students for management-related careers anywhere in the world.

The foremost goal of the School is to develop well-grounded management professionals with steadfast ethical sensitivity and unfailing social responsibility. Research forms part of the teaching exercise in Christ. Christ's faculty represent a well-proportioned blend of industry and academic expertise, and they stay through publishing regularly in Scopus indexed and similar journals of high academic esteem.
