Program Objective

The main objective is to help the students develop awareness, knowledge and skills in the discipline of Counselling Psychology. In specific the programme aims to train the students to acquire the requisite competencies in the following areas:

Academic mentoring programs are provided to provide a blend of modern and traditional teaching methods .Mentoring practices are being offered to facilitate students to provide them with the opportunity to understand, express and communicate about them. It helps students to clear their doubts, clarify their assumptions and hunches. Each student is being provided with a faculty to have one to one mentoring session. Academic mentoring sessions enables student to

  • Facilitate research related queries and hunches.
  • To share and discuss subject matter content beyond classrooms.
  • To seek guidance and reflections on personal preferences and life issues.
  • To vision and enhance career and professional development.

Academia – Industry Connect enables students to apply the theoretical understanding of the subject into real life situations. To provide overall competitive edges to our students are encouraged to interact with distinguished corporate leaders are. Through various guest lectures, hands on trainings, discussions and dialogues students develop practical skills. A Two-day state level workshop was conducted on Cultural Competence and Evidence Based Practices in Mental Health Care in Diverse Societies organised by Department of Psychology, Delhi-NCR campus on 16th and 17th August, 2019. Forty-three participants attended the workshop. The objective of the workshop was to sensitise the mental health professionalstoapproach mental health issues in a culturallyrelevant manner without losing its evidence base. Modules for the workshop are developed based on research conducted as part of theUS-Indo 21st century knowledge initiative award incollaboration with MIAMI university (OxfordOhio, USA)funded by USIEF.
Creative Movement Therapy Workshop  Ms. Tripura Kashyap

On October 21, 2019 Department of Psychology organized CMT workshop. Creative Movement Therapy  is a medium through which individuals explore their natural movements to express and process their thoughts, ideas or emotions to achieve physical, emotional and mental well-being.Movement therapists utilize creative / expressive body movements as the primary approach to unchain people’s bodies from habitual, limiting movement patterns. 
Workshop on Evidence based Practices of working with children and Adolescents. Dr Sebastian Perumbilly  The session started with discussing the mental health issues in childhood and adolescence. The discussion then focussed upon how these issues can be worked on through the involvement of the family and other major community members. The resource person discussed the importance of Multi dimensional family therapy and the intensive home child and adolescent psychiatric services to create a more effective therapeutic service
Workshop on Suicide Prevention: Childhood and Adolescent Mental Health Dr Sebastian Perumbilly  The workshop organized by the Department of Psychology on 8th January 2020 focused on causes and prevention of suicide, and the role of a therapist with context to mental health scenario. Dr Sebastian Perumbilly, a full bright scholar in Christ (Deemed to be University), Delhi NCR campus, led the session. He is known for his immense work and contribution to the field of marriage and family therapy, with impactful findings from his prolific research
Management and social Sciences in the context of digital era  Lucy Howe Lopez, the Deputy Executive Director of Globetrhics.net Three eminent speakers on the topic "Management and Social Sciences in the context of Digital Era". And in a developing world like India, where youth is the forerunner of change coming in tomorrow, this session was looked brightly and interestingly upon, for growth and technological advancements because of its exponential growth has changed the course of multiple disciplines.

To highlight the many changes that the countries have come across and adopted to, the speakers divided their topic into three sub divisions and actively engaged the crowd.  

Starting with ‘Responsibility and Integrity in the Digital Arena and Beyond: Challenges, Resources and Opportunities’ by Lucy Howe Lopez, the Deputy Executive Director of Globetrhics.net. She gave an introduction to the organization and talked about its values. As Deputy Executive Director she has responsibility for strategic planning, financial oversight, programme and project design, delivery and reporting, support services and human resource management. Her experience and expertise includes project management, administration, finance, fundraising, partner relations, research, communication, editing, event management and logistics.
POCSO Act and Child Protection Policy  Mr. Neil Andrew Roberts Lawyer and a child rights  The Webinar on POCSO Act and Child Protection Policy was conducted via Google Meet in the presence of The Academic Coordinator  of Psychology, Dr SurekhaChukkali and the postgraduate students of psychology. The resource person Mr. Neil Roberts introduced the POCSO Act to the Students and briefly highlighted that this act came into force on 14th November 2012. He then gave insight to the students on the different sections of the act

The Department of Psychology offers two year full-time M.Sc Course in Counselling Psychology. Master’s course in Counselling Psychology is an advanced course aimed at competence building among the students from a holistic and an interdisciplinary perspective.

Selection process results will be available on https://espro.christuniversity.in/Application/ according to the Important Dates section. Selected candidates will receive an E-Offer of admission that will be valid up to the date mentioned in the Offer of admission.  

All selected candidates must note that admission is provisional and subject to University rules.

To process admission

  • Candidates must choose the preferred date and time from available options to facilitate a smooth admission process.
  • Admission must be processed at the campus where the programme is offered as published in the offer of admission.
  • As per UGC guidelines, fee payment has to be made through online mode.
  • Payment options and details will be available in the Offer of admission.
  • Fees for the first year including Admission Registration fee must be paid in full as part of the admission process.

All original marks cards and one set of photocopies must be submitted for verification at the time of admission as mentioned below

  • Class 10 Marks Statement and Class 11/12 Marks Statement (Mandatory).
  • Transfer Certificate (TC) of Class 12 from the last qualified institution must be submitted by 15 July 2024 (Mandatory).
  • Migration Certificate of Class 12 (applicable for all candidates except Karnataka state board applicants) must be submitted by 15 July 2024 (Mandatory).
  • One Stamp size and one passport size photograph formal dress with a white background (Mandatory).
  • Two Copies of the Online Payment Receipt (Mandatory).
  • Copy of valid ID proof (Aadhar Card / Aadhar Enrolment Receipt / PAN Card / Voter ID Card).
  • Candidates falling under any of these categories (NRI / PIO / OCI / SAARC / AFRICA / ASEAN / OTHER FOREIGN NATIONALS) have to submit:
  1. Copy of Passport and Visa Details (Mandatory).
  2. PIO / OCI have to produce a copy of the PIO / OCI card whichever is applicable (Mandatory).
  3. Medical Fitness Certificate (MFC) from any recognized medical practitioner certified by the Medical Council of India and
  4. Resident Permit (RP) (If available while applying)

All mandatory documents must be submitted for verification during the admission process.

An undertaking for pending original documents unavailable currently [applicable only for candidates writing/passing their exam in March – June - 2024], must be submitted to the Office of Admissions. These documents must be submitted on or before 15 July 2024.

  • Failure to submit the pending documents will be treated as unsuccessful in the qualifying examination or considered “Not Eligible”, and admission will be terminated from CHRIST (Deemed to be University) without any claim.
  • All admitted students must open an account at South Indian Bank, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) Branch as part of the admission process and must carry relevant ID proof (Aadhar Card and Pan Card).
  • The University ID card is a smart card, which is both an ID cum ATM card with a chip containing the student personal details. All transactions within the University campus after the commencement of classes, including fee payment, will be processed only through this card. It is also an access card for Library and other restricted places.
  • Selected candidates who fall under International student category (ISC) should register with the Foreigner Regional Registration Officer (FRRO / FRO) of the Local Police in Ghaziabad, India within 14 working days from the date of admission or arriving in Ghaziabad.

The date of commencement of the academic Year 2024 will be intimated during the admission process.

  • The University does not collect any capitation/donation other than the fees mentioned on the website.
  • All those admitted to the programme will have to purchase a laptop at their own cost if required by the department.
  • Admitted students who wish to avail bank loan will be provided with a recommendation letter on request by presenting the original fee paid receipt to the Office of Admissions.
  • The decision of the admission committee is final and binding.

Workshop on Suicide Prevention: Childhood and Adolescent Mental Health Dr Sebastian Perumbilly  The workshop organized by the Department of Psychology on 8th January 2020 focused on causes and prevention of suicide, and the role of a therapist with context to mental health scenario. Dr Sebastian Perumbilly, a full bright scholar in Christ (Deemed to be University), Delhi NCR campus, led the session. He is known for his immense work and contribution to the field of marriage and family therapy, with impactful findings from his prolific research
Management and social Sciences in the context of digital era  Lucy Howe Lopez, the Deputy Executive Director of Globetrhics.net Three eminent speakers on the topic "Management and Social Sciences in the context of Digital Era". And in a developing world like India, where youth is the forerunner of change coming in tomorrow, this session was looked brightly and interestingly upon, for growth and technological advancements because of its exponential growth has changed the course of multiple disciplines.

To highlight the many changes that the countries have come across and adopted to, the speakers divided their topic into three sub divisions and actively engaged the crowd.  

Starting with ‘Responsibility and Integrity in the Digital Arena and Beyond: Challenges, Resources and Opportunities’ by Lucy Howe Lopez, the Deputy Executive Director of Globetrhics.net. She gave an introduction to the organization and talked about its values. As Deputy Executive Director she has responsibility for strategic planning, financial oversight, programme and project design, delivery and reporting, support services and human resource management. Her experience and expertise includes project management, administration, finance, fundraising, partner relations, research, communication, editing, event management and logistics.
POCSO Act and Child Protection Policy  Mr. Neil Andrew Roberts Lawyer and a child rights  The Webinar on POCSO Act and Child Protection Policy was conducted via Google Meet in the presence of The Academic Coordinator  of Psychology, Dr SurekhaChukkali and the postgraduate students of psychology. The resource person Mr. Neil Roberts introduced the POCSO Act to the Students and briefly highlighted that this act came into force on 14th November 2012. He then gave insight to the students on the different sections of the act

Academic mentoring programs are provided to provide a blend of modern and traditional teaching methods .Mentoring practices are being offered to facilitate students to provide them with the opportunity to understand, express and communicate about them. It helps students to clear their doubts, clarify their assumptions and hunches. Each student is being provided with a faculty to have one to one mentoring session. Forty-three participants attended the workshop. The objective of the workshop was to sensitise the mental health professionalstoapproach mental health issues in a culturallyrelevant manner without losing its evidence base. Modules for the workshop are developed based on research conducted as part of theUS-Indo 21st century knowledge initiative award incollaboration with MIAMI university (OxfordOhio, USA)funded by USIEF.

Creative Movement Therapy  is a medium through which individuals explore their natural movements to express and process their thoughts, ideas or emotions to achieve physical, emotional and mental well-being.Movement therapists utilize creative / expressive body movements as the primary approach to unchain people’s bodies from habitual, limiting movement patterns.

Applications for each programme will close approximately a week before the scheduled selection process.

All applicants must visit the page: https://espro.christuniversity.in/Application/ and register by entering NAME (as printed on Class 10 Marks Card), EMAIL-ID and set a password (the email id and mobile number provided will be used for sending confirmation and application status-update messages). An applicant can apply for as many programmes using the same ID as long as the prescribed eligibility criteria for the specific programme is fulfilled.

Applicants must have the following documents before filling the application online:

  • Copy of statement of marks of Class 10, Class 11/ 12 and Degree Marks Cards (Mandatory).
  • Fill in all the details in the “detailed application” page. Scan and upload a recent passport size photograph (3.5 cms x 4.5 cms formal dress with white background) and click “Submit”. On clicking Submit, a viewable and editable page will appear on the screen. In case you need to make any corrections; you may edit the data/details and then click “Confirm Submission”.
  • Make payment using a card and after successful payment, click on submit.  A 9 (nine) digit application number will be generated. If unable to print the application form due to system/power/internet failure, logon to https://espro.christuniversity.in/Application/ under the “Application Status” page enter the registered Email-ID and password to view and print the application form (after the payment if you do not receive the 9 (nine) digit application number, then your application process is incomplete, and the payment will go in for refund process. The refund will take about 15 days and must be checked with your bank).

  • All other candidates will have to carry the application printout, original documents and a set of photocopies to the selection process on the allotted date, time and venue mentioned on the selection process admit card.
  • All applicants must make a note of the username and password, the application number, programme applied for, selection process date and city for all further purposes.
  • All travel arrangements, if necessary, have to be made in advance.
  • The "Important Dates" section must be referred to before filling the application, or candidates can choose the selection process dates while filling the application online.
  • No request for change of date/city will be entertained.
  • Applicants applying while in their final year of schooling must carry the marks card up to the previous year when they report to the selection process venue. - We have the Kissae- Stories through art, Hunar, Psyfi club, SDG Cell, Department of Psychology, and Psychology Association. Apart from this, the students can take part in various intra-diversity and interschool competitions in sports, dance, music and many others and they also have the opportunity to audition for the Christ Music Society and the university dance team Natyarpana. We believing in the holistic development of a student’s personal and professional life and belive in providing them with not just academic exposure but also practical experiences.


 

Program Objective

The main objective is to help the students develop awareness, knowledge and skills in the discipline of Counselling Psychology. In specific the programme aims to train the students to acquire the requisite competencies in the following areas:

Academic mentoring programs are provided to provide a blend of modern and traditional teaching methods .Mentoring practices are being offered to facilitate students to provide them with the opportunity to understand, express and communicate about them. It helps students to clear their doubts, clarify their assumptions and hunches. Each student is being provided with a faculty to have one to one mentoring session. Academic mentoring sessions enables student to

  • Facilitate research related queries and hunches.
  • To share and discuss subject matter content beyond classrooms.
  • To seek guidance and reflections on personal preferences and life issues.
  • To vision and enhance career and professional development.

Academia – Industry Connect enables students to apply the theoretical understanding of the subject into real life situations. To provide overall competitive edges to our students are encouraged to interact with distinguished corporate leaders are. Through various guest lectures, hands on trainings, discussions and dialogues students develop practical skills. A Two-day state level workshop was conducted on Cultural Competence and Evidence Based Practices in Mental Health Care in Diverse Societies organised by Department of Psychology, Delhi-NCR campus on 16th and 17th August, 2019. Forty-three participants attended the workshop. The objective of the workshop was to sensitise the mental health professionalstoapproach mental health issues in a culturallyrelevant manner without losing its evidence base. Modules for the workshop are developed based on research conducted as part of theUS-Indo 21st century knowledge initiative award incollaboration with MIAMI university (OxfordOhio, USA)funded by USIEF.
Creative Movement Therapy Workshop  Ms. Tripura Kashyap

On October 21, 2019 Department of Psychology organized CMT workshop. Creative Movement Therapy  is a medium through which individuals explore their natural movements to express and process their thoughts, ideas or emotions to achieve physical, emotional and mental well-being.Movement therapists utilize creative / expressive body movements as the primary approach to unchain people’s bodies from habitual, limiting movement patterns. 
Workshop on Evidence based Practices of working with children and Adolescents. Dr Sebastian Perumbilly  The session started with discussing the mental health issues in childhood and adolescence. The discussion then focussed upon how these issues can be worked on through the involvement of the family and other major community members. The resource person discussed the importance of Multi dimensional family therapy and the intensive home child and adolescent psychiatric services to create a more effective therapeutic service
Workshop on Suicide Prevention: Childhood and Adolescent Mental Health Dr Sebastian Perumbilly  The workshop organized by the Department of Psychology on 8th January 2020 focused on causes and prevention of suicide, and the role of a therapist with context to mental health scenario. Dr Sebastian Perumbilly, a full bright scholar in Christ (Deemed to be University), Delhi NCR campus, led the session. He is known for his immense work and contribution to the field of marriage and family therapy, with impactful findings from his prolific research
Management and social Sciences in the context of digital era  Lucy Howe Lopez, the Deputy Executive Director of Globetrhics.net Three eminent speakers on the topic "Management and Social Sciences in the context of Digital Era". And in a developing world like India, where youth is the forerunner of change coming in tomorrow, this session was looked brightly and interestingly upon, for growth and technological advancements because of its exponential growth has changed the course of multiple disciplines.

To highlight the many changes that the countries have come across and adopted to, the speakers divided their topic into three sub divisions and actively engaged the crowd.  

Starting with ‘Responsibility and Integrity in the Digital Arena and Beyond: Challenges, Resources and Opportunities’ by Lucy Howe Lopez, the Deputy Executive Director of Globetrhics.net. She gave an introduction to the organization and talked about its values. As Deputy Executive Director she has responsibility for strategic planning, financial oversight, programme and project design, delivery and reporting, support services and human resource management. Her experience and expertise includes project management, administration, finance, fundraising, partner relations, research, communication, editing, event management and logistics.
POCSO Act and Child Protection Policy  Mr. Neil Andrew Roberts Lawyer and a child rights  The Webinar on POCSO Act and Child Protection Policy was conducted via Google Meet in the presence of The Academic Coordinator  of Psychology, Dr SurekhaChukkali and the postgraduate students of psychology. The resource person Mr. Neil Roberts introduced the POCSO Act to the Students and briefly highlighted that this act came into force on 14th November 2012. He then gave insight to the students on the different sections of the act

Candidates falling under any of the below mentioned categories must apply under the International Student Category:

  1. Foreign citizens,   
  2. PIO card holders and   
  3. OCI (Dual Citizens)

International students coming from Non-English speaking countries should:

  • produce evidence of passing the qualifying examination in English medium or   
  • have IELTS 6.0 with no sub-score below 5.5 or TOEFL (paper) 550, TOEFL (computer) of 213 or TOEFL (IBT) of 79 scores

Candidates without the above pre-qualifications will have to enroll either for

  • Intensive Certificate course in English Language (Full Time) conducted from March to May each year or   
  • One Semester Certificate course in English Language (Part Time) conducted after regular class hours from June to December.

Note: The International Student category fee structure is binding for the full duration of the programme and cannot be transferred /changed in between.

Candidates from the above listed categories having pursued Indian Educational qualification and who may have applied under the Indian States Category will have to pay the International Student Category Fee. The decision of the Admission committee is final.

  • The University does not collect any type of Capitation / Donation other than the fee mentioned in the website.
  • If the application is incomplete or incorrect, the University Management has the right to reject it.
  • Kindly do not send any original marks cards through post or courier.
  • The online application form will be processed by the Office of Admissions only on receipt of the online payment acknowledgment slip copy and all supporting documents.
  • The institution is not responsible for any application reaching after the stipulated date / time and such applications will not be processed.
  • Ignorance of the Terms, Conditions and Guidelines will not be considered as an excuse for non-fulfilment of any stipulated process.
  • It is to be noted that though the fee is fixed for 2 years, there will be a periodic nominal increase to meet the rise in costs.
  • Fees should be paid within the stipulated date for the first year and before the commencement of final examinations of 2nd semester for the second year.
  • All those admitted to the programme will have to purchase a laptop at their own cost.
  • Admitted student who wish to avail Bank Loan will be provided a recommendation letter on request by presenting the original fee paid receipt to the Office of Admissions.
  • The decision of the Admission Committee is final and binding.

A Two-day state level workshop was conducted on Cultural Competence and Evidence Based Practices in Mental Health Care in Diverse Societies organised by Department of Psychology, Delhi-NCR campus on 16th and 17th August, 2019. Forty-three participants attended the workshop. The objective of the workshop was to sensitise the mental health professionalstoapproach mental health issues in a culturallyrelevant manner without losing its evidence base. Modules for the workshop are developed based on research conducted as part of theUS-Indo 21st century knowledge initiative award incollaboration with MIAMI university (OxfordOhio, USA)funded by USIEF.

On October 21, 2019 Department of Psychology organized CMT workshop. Creative Movement Therapy  is a medium through which individuals explore their natural movements to express and process their thoughts, ideas or emotions to achieve physical, emotional and mental well-being.Movement therapists utilize creative / expressive body movements as the primary approach to unchain people’s bodies from habitual, limiting movement patterns. 
Workshop on Evidence based Practices of working with children and Adolescents. Dr Sebastian Perumbilly  The session started with discussing the mental health issues in childhood and adolescence. The discussion then focussed upon how these issues can be worked on through the involvement of the family and other major community members. The resource person discussed the importance of Multi dimensional family therapy and the intensive home child and adolescent psychiatric services to create a more effective therapeutic service
Workshop on Suicide Prevention: Childhood and Adolescent Mental Health Dr Sebastian Perumbilly  The workshop organized by the Department of Psychology on 8th January 2020 focused on causes and prevention of suicide, and the role of a therapist with context to mental health scenario. Dr Sebastian Perumbilly, a full bright scholar in Christ (Deemed to be University), Delhi NCR campus, led the session. He is known for his immense work and contribution to the field of marriage and family therapy, with impactful findings from his prolific research
Management and social Sciences in the context of digital era  Lucy Howe Lopez, the Deputy Executive Director of Globetrhics.net Three eminent speakers on the topic "Management and Social Sciences in the context of Digital Era". And in a developing world like India, where youth is the forerunner of change coming in tomorrow, this session was looked brightly and interestingly upon, for growth and technological advancements because of its exponential growth has changed the course of multiple disciplines.

To highlight the many changes that the countries have come across and adopted to, the speakers divided their topic into three sub divisions and actively engaged the crowd.  

Starting with ‘Responsibility and Integrity in the Digital Arena and Beyond: Challenges, Resources and Opportunities’ by Lucy Howe Lopez, the Deputy Executive Director of Globetrhics.net. She gave an introduction to the organization and talked about its values. As Deputy Executive Director she has responsibility for strategic planning, financial oversight, programme and project design, delivery and reporting, support services and human resource management. Her experience and expertise includes project management, administration, finance, fundraising, partner relations, research, communication, editing, event management and logistics.
POCSO Act and Child Protection Policy  Mr. Neil Andrew Roberts Lawyer and a child rights  The Webinar on POCSO Act and Child Protection Policy was conducted via Google Meet in the presence of The Academic Coordinator  of Psychology, Dr SurekhaChukkali and the postgraduate students of psychology. The resource person Mr. Neil Roberts introduced the POCSO Act to the Students and briefly highlighted that this act came into force on 14th November 2012. He then gave insight to the students on the different sections of the act

We believing in the holistic development of a student’s personal and professional life and belive in providing them with not just academic exposure but also practical experiences.


 

Students are welcome to apply under the Non-Resident Indian category for the programmes offered by the University.

Students who fall under any of the following classifications can apply under NRI Student category and be liable to pay the fees applicable to the category for the entire duration of the programme.

1. NRI defined under the Indian Income Tax Law

2. Either of the parents is outside India (except Nepal) on Work Permit / Resident Permit

3. Indian citizen financed by any Institution / agency outside India, even if parents are residents of India

4. Indian citizen who has pursued studies for qualifying examination in any foreign / Indian syllabus outside India.

5. NRI fee is applicable for the full duration of the programme for candidates who;
   5.1. Have pursued and completed their last qualifying exam from outside India.
   5.2. Are NRI and candidates who have applied under NRI category

 

Admission to all programmes is based on academic achievement and CHRIST (Deemed to be University) Selection Process. Candidates should submit the final results of class 12 on or before July 15th of the admission year.

Program Objective

The main objective is to help the students develop awareness, knowledge and skills in the discipline of Counselling Psychology. In specific the programme aims to train the students to acquire the requisite competencies in the following areas:

Workshop on Suicide Prevention: Childhood and Adolescent Mental Health Dr Sebastian Perumbilly  The workshop organized by the Department of Psychology on 8th January 2020 focused on causes and prevention of suicide, and the role of a therapist with context to mental health scenario. Dr Sebastian Perumbilly, a full bright scholar in Christ (Deemed to be University), Delhi NCR campus, led the session. He is known for his immense work and contribution to the field of marriage and family therapy, with impactful findings from his prolific research
Management and social Sciences in the context of digital era  Lucy Howe Lopez, the Deputy Executive Director of Globetrhics.net Three eminent speakers on the topic "Management and Social Sciences in the context of Digital Era". And in a developing world like India, where youth is the forerunner of change coming in tomorrow, this session was looked brightly and interestingly upon, for growth and technological advancements because of its exponential growth has changed the course of multiple disciplines.

To highlight the many changes that the countries have come across and adopted to, the speakers divided their topic into three sub divisions and actively engaged the crowd.

POCSO Act and Child Protection Policy  Mr. Neil Andrew Roberts Lawyer and a child rights  The Webinar on POCSO Act and Child Protection Policy was conducted via Google Meet in the presence of The Academic Coordinator  of Psychology, Dr SurekhaChukkali and the postgraduate students of psychology. The resource person Mr. Neil Roberts introduced the POCSO Act to the Students and briefly highlighted that this act came into force on 14th November 2012. He then gave insight to the students on the different sections of the act

Creative Movement Therapy  is a medium through which individuals explore their natural movements to express and process their thoughts, ideas or emotions to achieve physical, emotional and mental well-being.Movement therapists utilize creative / expressive body movements as the primary approach to unchain people’s bodies from habitual, limiting movement patterns. 
Workshop on Evidence based Practices of working with children and Adolescents. Dr Sebastian Perumbilly  The session started with discussing the mental health issues in childhood and adolescence. The discussion then focussed upon how these issues can be worked on through the involvement of the family and other major community members. The resource person discussed the importance of Multi dimensional family therapy and the intensive home child and adolescent psychiatric services to create a more effective therapeutic service
Workshop on Suicide Prevention: Childhood and Adolescent Mental Health Dr Sebastian Perumbilly  The workshop organized by the Department of Psychology on 8th January 2020 focused on causes and prevention of suicide, and the role of a therapist with context to mental health scenario. Dr Sebastian Perumbilly, a full bright scholar in Christ (Deemed to be University), Delhi NCR campus, led the session. He is known for his immense work and contribution to the field of marriage and family therapy, with impactful findings from his prolific research
Management and social Sciences in the context of digital era  Lucy Howe Lopez, the Deputy Executive Director of Globetrhics.net Three eminent speakers on the topic "Management and Social Sciences in the context of Digital Era". And in a developing world like India, where youth is the forerunner of change coming in tomorrow, this session was looked brightly and interestingly upon, for growth and technological advancements because of its exponential growth has changed the course of multiple disciplines.

To highlight the many changes that the countries have come across and adopted to, the speakers divided their topic into three sub divisions and actively engaged the crowd.  

Starting with ‘Responsibility and Integrity in the Digital Arena and Beyond: Challenges, Resources and Opportunities’ by Lucy Howe Lopez, the Deputy Executive Director of Globetrhics.net. She gave an introduction to the organization and talked about its values. As Deputy Executive Director she has responsibility for strategic planning, financial oversight, programme and project design, delivery and reporting, support services and human resource management. Her experience and expertise includes project management, administration, finance, fundraising, partner relations, research, communication, editing, event management and logistics.
POCSO Act and Child Protection Policy  Mr. Neil Andrew Roberts Lawyer and a child rights  The Webinar on POCSO Act and Child Protection Policy was conducted via Google Meet in the presence of The Academic Coordinator  of Psychology, Dr SurekhaChukkali and the postgraduate students of psychology. The resource person Mr. Neil Roberts introduced the POCSO Act to the Students and briefly highlighted that this act came into force on 14th November 2012. He then gave insight to the students on the different sections of the act

A Two-day state level workshop was conducted on Cultural Competence and Evidence Based Practices in Mental Health Care in Diverse Societies organised by Department of Psychology, Delhi-NCR campus on 16th and 17th August, 2019. Forty-three participants attended the workshop. The objective of the workshop was to sensitise the mental health professionalstoapproach mental health issues in a culturallyrelevant manner without losing its evidence base. Modules for the workshop are developed based on research conducted as part of theUS-Indo 21st century knowledge initiative award incollaboration with MIAMI university (OxfordOhio, USA)funded by USIEF.
