About the Programme
The combined majors in economics and political science offer students the opportunity to integrate the study of economics with politics and government. Students will complete the core political science courses covering a range of political theories, ideologies, and practices at national and global levels and core courses in economics with macroeconomic and microeconomic perspectives. The course is structured to ensure that students develop extensive knowledge of political systems, economic policies, and the implementation of state policies toward nation-building and international relations. Students will be better equipped to gain in-depth knowledge of the international world systems led and affected by political and economic interests in a constantly changing world.

The Department of Economics offers MSc Economics and Analytics programme at post graduate level along with guidance for PhD. The MSc programme is designed to match the global standards in terms of theoretical content and analytical orientation. The students receive thorough training in research through a guided research thesis that they complete during the programme. Numerous academic activities and events including workshops and seminars provide extensive learning experience to the students. The research output of the faculty is quite current and change making. The Department has tie-up with national organisations for long term consultancy. Joint publications between senior students and faculty is an exceptional achievement of the Department.
