About the Programme

B.Sc. Economics, Data Analytics is a dual major, interdisciplinary programme. The key feature of this programme is the combination of insights from Economics and Data Analytics with hands-on experience in using various tools and technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Big Data, etc.

The programme also gives particular focus on skills required for complex decision-making in applied microeconomics, finance, market research, operations and policy analysis. The programme excels in its theoretical foundation and analytical skill formation through an innovative combination of qualitative and quantitative structures.

The progressive approach in the design of the curriculum facilitates students to pursue research/career in the areas of Data Analytics or Economics. This programme is extended to the fourth year as a B.Sc.(Hons) degree in Economics or Data Analytics, with or without research.

Economic Behaviour & Analytical Thinking

The programme is designed to help students understand economic behaviour, interpret data-driven trends, and apply analytical tools to real-world problems in finance, policy, business, market research, and development sectors.

Strong Interdisciplinary Foundations

The curriculum provides students with strong foundations in microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, statistics, programming, database management, machine learning, big data analytics, AI, and research methodology.
